The Amity School of Social Sciences organized a Speech Competition on Suicide Prevention on 16 September 2025 to promote mental health awareness, empathetic dialogue, and preventive strategies for suicide ideation.

A total of 18 students participated, sharing insights on causes, warning signs, and prevention of Suicidal Ideation. The competition was judged by Dr. Chandni Rani, Dr. Rajeev Singh, Dr. Aditi, and Dr. Jyoti Mishra.

HAPPIVERSE 2025 - The Well-being Fest

A Two-Day Celebration of Learning, Creativity & Campus Spirit.

HAPPIVERSE 2025 was a vibrant two-day event that brought together the perfect blend of knowledge, creativity, and student engagement.
 The celebration featured insightful workshops, thought-provoking seminars, an enriching exhibition, interactive stalls, and lively cultural performances, creating an inspiring and energetic atmosphere across both days.

Students showcased their exceptional talents through multiple competitions, including:

 Slogan Writing
 Poster Making
 Mandala Art

With an outstanding participation of nearly 200 students, the event truly highlighted the enthusiasm, passion, and teamwork of our campus community.

An expert lecture on “Overview of Disabilities and Interventions for Persons with Disabilities” was conducted on April 3, 2025, at 3:00 PM in the MDP Room. The session was delivered by Dr. Yashvinder Kapil, Faculty at the College of Special Education, GRIID Chandigarh.

Dr. Kapil provided insights into the psychological, emotional, and social aspects of Autism Spectrum Disorder, highlighting effective intervention strategies and the importance of inclusive practices. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where students and faculty actively engaged with the speaker.

April 3, 2025, the Amity School of Social Sciences, Amity University Punjab an awareness event to mark organized World Autism Day and World Bipolar Day under the theme “Bridging Minds - Support, Awareness & Acceptance.” The event aimed to promote mental health awareness, encourage acceptance of neurodiversity, and foster On an inclusive campus environment.

Highlight:
 An Awareness Exhibition by SOREM (Society for the Rehabilitation of Mentally Challenged) was held at the Atrium from 11:00 AM onwards. The exhibition showcased artwork, handmade products, and informative resources created by children and young adults with special needs. Students and faculty actively visited the stalls and interacted with SOREM representatives, showing strong support for the initiative.

Day 2 of HAPPIVERSE – The Well-Being Fest, organized by the Amity School of Social Sciences in collaboration with the Amity School of Business Administration, Rotaract Club, NIPM, and National Service Scheme, featured engaging stalls and activities promoting psychological well-being.

Students enthusiastically participated in interactive stalls such as psychological models display, psychometric testing, emotion wheel, trauma smash cup, face painting, doodle corner, and the tree of happiness. A panel discussion on “Breaking the Silence – Conversations on Mental Health” encouraged open dialogue and stigma reduction among students from diverse disciplines.

An interactive workshop on “Mindfulness & Meditation for Everyday Life” was conducted by Amandeep, an Rehabilitation Council of India registered clinical psychologist, where students 

practiced grounding techniques and guided meditation.

A key highlight was the launch of “ABHIVYAKTI – Together We Heal, Together We Rise,” the campus Well-Being & Happiness Support Group, coordinated by Shivali Dhingra, Simplejit Kaur Dhanoa, Deepika Lamba, and Richa Sharma, with student coordinators Raaminder Singh and Mankirat Kaur. The day concluded with vibrant cultural performances celebrating well-being and community.

Two day Economic Survey 2025-2026: Presentation and group discussion ON 24th and 25th Feb, 2026. The program began with a clear and structured presentation highlighting the key findings of the Economic Survey—tabled in Parliament on January 29, 2026—including India’s projected real GDP growth of approximately 7.4% for FY26, historically low inflation around 1.7%, strong domestic consumption and investment demand, medium-term growth potential of about 7%, and overall economic resilience despite global uncertainties.This was followed by lively group discussions where attendees actively analysed economic trends, sectoral performance, emerging challenges such as geopolitical risks and trade fragmentation, and potential policy implications. Overall, the event effectively disseminated critical insights from the Survey, fostered analytical dialogue, enhanced economic awareness

The Expert Talk on Research Paper Writing, hosted by the Amity Economics Society at Amity University Punjab on January 29, 2026, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. IST, was a concise yet impactful 1-hour online session delivered virtually via Zoom (online mode) by Dr. Smita Sharma, Chairperson and Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Panjab University, Chandigarh.  Around Forty Students actively participated in this session. This event focused on the core aspects of academic research in the field of economics and social sciences, covering key areas such as topic selection, hypothesis formulation, literature review, research gaps identification, methodology (including econometric and quantitative approaches typical in economics), paper structuring (abstract, introduction, results, discussion, conclusion), citation/reference styles, ethical writing practices, plagiarism prevention, common pitfalls, and strategies for journal submission and publication success.

9th Military Literature Festival Chandigarh 2025 (At Sukhna Lake)

The festival brings together the art, exhibitions, speeches, dialogues and competitions organised by the Military Personals itself. The Economics students participated and faculties (Dr. Madhur and Dr. Aditi from Economics) accompanied the students. We along with English and Management department were invited on behalf of Amity University Punjab. It led us to gain insights into the world of art, history, experiences, stories through the eyes of Military people itself. It was an enriching experience for the students.
