International Literacy Day Celebration at Amity University Punjab

event

Amity University Punjab joyfully celebrated International Literacy Day on 8th September 2025, an occasion dedicated to emphasizing the importance of literacy as a matter of dignity and human rights — an initiative first introduced by UNESCO.

The event was organized by the Library Club in collaboration with the NSS Club, bringing together students from various disciplines to participate in a day filled with learning, creativity, and collaboration.

A series of engaging and interactive activities were conducted, including Spelling Bee, Dumb Charades, Story Chain, and a Poster Making Competition hosted by the NSS Club. These fun-filled competitions encouraged students to think critically, express creatively, and work as a team, reinforcing the idea that literacy extends beyond reading and writing — it is a powerful tool for connection, communication, and empowerment.

The Library Club also inspired students to donate books and embrace the practice of gifting books, promoting the joy of sharing knowledge and nurturing a culture of continuous learning.

The celebration witnessed enthusiastic participation across the university, embodying Amity University Punjab’s commitment to fostering intellectual growth, inclusivity, and social responsibility through education.
