Amity University Punjab solemnly organized its Convocation 2025 on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at its Mohali campus, marking a significant milestone in the academic journey of its graduating students. The prestigious ceremony celebrated academic excellence, values, and leadership, and witnessed the conferring of degrees, awards, medals, and honorary doctorates.
The Convocation was graced by the august presence of Hon’ble Chancellor, Dr. Atul Chauhan, along with Respected Trustees Shri Ajay Chauhan and Shri Abhay Chauhan, senior leadership of the Amity Education Group, members of the governing bodies, faculty, proud parents, and graduating students.
The ceremony commenced with the Academic Procession, led by the Hon’ble Chancellor, Trustees, senior dignitaries, deans, heads of schools, and faculty members, symbolizing the rich academic traditions of the University. The Convocation was formally declared open by Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Atul Chauhan, followed by the presentation of the University Annual Report by Prof. (Dr.) Puneet Sharma, Additional Pro Vice Chancellor, highlighting the institution’s academic growth, research achievements, and student success.
Addressing the gathering, senior leadership shared inspiring insights, while the Hon’ble Chancellor blessed the graduands with words of wisdom and encouragement. A recorded message by Respected Hon’ble Founder President, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, further inspired the gathering, reaffirming Amity’s commitment to nation-building through education. A special recorded message by Shri Piyush Goyal Ji, Hon’ble Minister of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, added to the significance of the occasion
A major highlight of the ceremony was the conferring of Honorary Doctorates (D.Phil, Honoris Causa) upon two eminent industry leaders:

Dr. Anand Ramamurthy, Managing Director, Micron India
Their acceptance speeches inspired students with real-world perspectives on leadership, innovation, and excellence
The University proudly conferred degrees upon 866 graduates from undergraduate and postgraduate programs, followed by the administration of the University Pledge, reinforcing the values of integrity, responsibility, and service to society
The Convocation also witnessed the presentation of 86 Academic Awards, 47 Medals, 36 Shri Baljit Shastri Awards for Human & Traditional Values, 4 Best All-Round Student Awards, and 8 Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan 100% Scholarship Awards, recognizing outstanding academic performance, holistic excellence, and commitment to values.
The ceremony concluded with heartfelt congratulations to the graduating students as they joined the global Amity Alumni network of over 700,000 members worldwide. The Convocation was formally declared closed by the Hon’ble Chancellor, followed by the National Anthem.
