Amity University Punjab celebrated the vibrant festival of Lohri 2026 with great enthusiasm, bringing together students, faculty, and staff in a joyful celebration of Punjab’s rich cultural heritage.
The campus was transformed with colour and festive energy as members of the Amity community adorned themselves in traditional Punjabi attire. The celebrations began with the lighting of the sacred bonfire, symbolizing warmth, prosperity, and new beginnings, followed by a traditional puja.
The occasion was graced by Dr. (Prof.) Puneet Sharma, Additional Pro Vice Chancellor, Dr. Dalip Kumar, Registrar, along with esteemed deans and faculty members, who joined the Amity family in celebrating unity, tradition, and cultural values.
The rhythmic beats of Punjabi music filled the air as participants gathered around the bonfire, dancing and sharing moments of joy and togetherness. Traditional Lohri delicacies such as popcorn, rewari, and groundnuts added to the festive charm, enhancing the spirit of celebration.
